With the Rio Olympics opening ceremony just two days away, serviced office business centres in London and all over the UK are gearing up to support clients and their staff.

Back in 2012 the London Olympics were supported up and down the country with games events in business centre’s with beer, pizza and all the sporting action on big screens.

The Olympics kick off on Friday 5th August. The opening ceremony for the games is set to be watched by over one billion people worldwide despite the time delays (UK time 11pm). The Paralympics start on the 7th September and run until the 18th September.

With Brazil four hours behind London there will be lots of opportunities to watch the action in the early and late evening. However, early schedules that have been released this week show event times in the early hours of the morning. So there could be lots of late nights for some of you. We got in touch with business centres all over the UK to find out what they had planned to cover Team GB’s progress.

A number of serviced office space providers are planning to celebrate the Olympics with their clients. BEoffices plan to launch their Food’s of the World client lunch this Friday. In addition they’re decorating the centres with Rio style carnival decorations to get everyone in the Olympic mood. Their centres will also be showing the big events on screens accompanied by snacks and drinks.

i2 Offices are also planning to celebrate the main events on their big screens with snacks and drinks. We’re still waiting to find out what a number of other providers have planned. So we will update this article throughout the week.

Keeping up with the action is easy. We’ve compiled a list of useful links that will help you keep everyone updated throughout the Olympics and Paralympics.
